Johannes Hammers, Hammers Project
A graduate of Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television, Johannes has over 20 years' experience working as a creative director, composer and sound designer across a diverse and eclectic range of media, including advertising and television. As of late he has expanded into game audio and music licensing.
The ability to do both sound and music has enabled Johannes to craft a unique sound that "allows me to create a complete sonic landscape that tells a story and conveys an emotion as one cohesive idea." It often makes for a seamless blend between the two crafts.
Currently Johannes is creating the sound design for a Netflix documentary series.
From 2016-2018 Johannes was a member of an immersive audio team at Technicolor that focused on VR/AR, and Games.
Clients include Technicolor, Formosa Interactive Group, Psyop, AMC Theaters, Audi, Energizer, Nissan, Playstation, Mercedes, Coca-Cola, T-Mobile, Nike, Cadillac, Activision, Smirnoff, KIA, Reebok, RIOT Games, Chrysler and Toyota among others.
Johannes’ music has also been featured on Key & Peele, 20/20 on ABC, MTV’s Catfish: The TV Show, Unusual Suspects, Man Seeking Woman, Consumed: The Real Restaurant Business, Murder Among Friends, ABC’s The Toy Box, and CBS Promo’s for: Big Bang Theory, CSI, NCIS, The Good Wife, Late Night with David Letterman, The Mentalist, Scorpion, Mike and Molly, and Two Broke Girls.
Johannes is a member of ASCAP, the Motion Picture Editors Guild, Motion Picture Sound Editors, and the American Federation of Musicians Local 47.
